• Answer calls promptly and conductinterpretation in a friendly and professional manner. · Rendercorrect concepts and meanings according to the conventions ofestablished interpretation protocol, avoiding omissions oradditions.
• Speak clearly in both languages using properpronunciation, enunciation and polite expressions. · Maintain aprofessional demeanor throughout the call, always.
• Remain calmduring calls if one of the primary speakers is incoherent or upset,especially in emergency situations. · Maintain punctuality andavailability during scheduled work hours.
• Follow clientinstructions, in compliance with protocol to ensure clientexpectations are met with the Limited English-speaking Person,avoiding interaction with the Limited English-speaking Personwithout client’s permission.
• Understand protocol and terminologyfor various industries including, but not limited to, Medical,Insurance, Finance and Law · Demonstrate commitment to culturalsensitivity and working in a diverse environment.

Qualifications : ·Fluency in the required language Spanish and English and skilled inthe associated cultural dynamics. · Ability to provide culturalcompetency and assess regional and accent differences to find waysof communicating with the Limited English-speaking Person.

• Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintaina high level of accuracy during interpretation. · Able to workindependently.
• Has the aptitude for close attention to detailregarding shift / schedule adherence. Technical Requirements : ·iPhone or Android phone.
• High speed Internet connection for workrelated electronic communication. · This internet connection shouldprovide download speeds of no less than 5 Mbps and upload speeds of1 Mbps.
• Paper shredder to dispose of handwritten notes takenduring calls. Physical Requirements : · Must have sufficient manualdexterity to type or write.
