Executive Chief of Staff

Overview

Lazo is the all‑in‑one SaaS platform that offers a VC‑ready solution for founders solving bookkeeping, finance, legal, tax, payroll, and fundraising tools. Lazo is granted by: AWS Startups, EY, Endeavor & Tampa Wave Bay. As both a strategic operator and trusted right hand, the Executive Chief of Staff ensures alignment across teams, drives key priorities forward, protects the CEO's time and focus, and handles a mix of company‑wide initiatives and personal/professional support. It requires a unique blend of operational rigor, startup intuition, and service‑oriented leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Cross‑functional Execution: be the integrator across teams, ensuring alignment, accountability, and fluid execution.
  • Coordinate and monitor company OKRs, ensuring clarity, focus, and timely delivery.
  • Lead high‑impact, cross‑functional initiatives focused on efficiency, delivery, and scale.
  • Translate strategy into clear plans of action together with area leaders.
  • Detect operational bottlenecks and proactively propose and implement solutions.
  • Supervise special projects and strategic tasks that lack clear ownership.
  • Support internal communication and ensure the CEO's priorities are reflected across the org.
  • Own and optimize the CEO's calendar and inbox with precision and foresight.
  • Prepare briefing notes, agendas, and follow‑ups for key internal and external meetings.
  • Protect the CEO's focus and energy, including managing personal‑professional boundaries.
  • Handle select personal matters with discretion and flexibility.
  • Monitor startup ecosystem movements, competitor news, and AI innovation to keep the CEO informed and ahead.
  • Manage investor relations materials: updates, metrics, agendas, follow‑ups.
  • Collaborate on fundraising processes, including data rooms and investor presentations.
  • Act as liaison with external stakeholders, partners, and advisors as needed.

  • Streamlined communication between CEO and leadership team.
  • High satisfaction and trust from the CEO in day‑to‑day support.
  • Measurable progress and delivery of strategic initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years supporting C‑level executives or founders, ideally in startups.
  • Strategic thinking and analytical mindset with a focus on execution.
  • Strong command of project management and OKR tracking tools.
  • Understanding of SaaS metrics, startup growth, and investor dynamics.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and digital productivity tools.
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English – this is a must.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Highly organized, calm under pressure, and excellent at prioritizing.
  • Ability to influence without formal authority.
  • High emotional intelligence and political sensitivity.
  • Discretion, confidentiality, and strong ethical standards.
  • Curious, proactive, and deeply comfortable with change and ambiguity.
