As we continue expanding, we are looking for a Collections Associate to join our team and oversee collections operations across Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and Peru. This role is ideal for a professional with extensive experience in collections, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multi-country portfolios.
Key ResponsibilitiesPortfolio Management & Optimization
- Manage and oversee preventive and early-stage collections strategies.
- Ensure proper execution of manual and automated collections processes.
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to drive efficient recoveries.
- Perform core collections tasks, including:
- Handling inbound and outbound collection calls.
- Responding to emails and customer inquiries.
- Direct contact with clients for payment negotiations.
- Monitoring and measuring payment commitments, recovery rates, and collected funds.
- Other collections-related activities involving direct client interaction.
Performance Monitoring & Data-Driven Strategies
- Track and analyze key collections metrics, including roll rates, response rates, and recovery efficiency.
- Manage communications across multiple channels (WhatsApp, email, SMS, and phone calls) to maximize customer engagement.
- Ensure accurate processing of payment commitments and reconciliations.
- Provide data-driven insights to improve collections performance and efficiency.
Process Automation & Digital Collections (Support role, not primary responsibility)
- Participate in initiatives to enhance automation and optimize digital collections strategies.
- Support the implementation and performance evaluation of digital collections tools, including AI-driven solutions.
- Assist in Champion-Challenger testing to measure effectiveness across different recovery approaches
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in collections management, preferably in financial services or fintech.
- Expertise in preventive collections and early-stage recovery strategies.
- Experience managing multi-country portfolios in Latin America.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data management, and data analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills at managerial and executive levels.
- Ability to adapt to change, work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a proactive attitude.
- Fluent Spanish, with basic to intermediate English proficiency for written and verbal communication.
