Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management and accounting, with a proven track record in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial insights. Experience working with U.S. clients and proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Oversee all accounting operations, including A/R, A/P, GL, and revenue recognition.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate and manage external audits and tax preparations.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals and initiatives.
- Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller, ideally with a focus on working with U.S. clients.
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
