If youare energized by the impact you can make at Tala, we'd love to hearfrom you! The Role The Accounting Director, MX, partnering closelywith the VP Global Controller of Tala, will lead all aspects of theaccounting and tax function of Tala in Mexico.

We are looking for aseasoned and dynamic professional with a solid understanding of allrelevant areas of accounting, including technical accountingstandards (US GAAP & IFRS), treasury operations, internalcontrols, financial audits, local tax compliance and otherapplicable statutory requirements, who is able to thinkstrategically, identify key risks and opportunities, confidentlydrive the local accounting & tax roadmap, and lead and developour team.

What You'll DoMonitor legislative & regulatorydevelopments that may impact the company's tax positions and / orcompliance requirements, ensuring compliance with all applicablelaws, rules, and regulations in the country.

Lead statutoryaccounting and monthly close process, annual audits, and majoraccounting operating processes (treasury, payroll) Activelyparticipate in updating and maintaining relevant internal policiesand procedures.

Collaborate with our centralized global AccountingOptimization team in Kenya to build efficient and effectiveaccounting processes.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual taxfilings required by SAT. Perform tax health checks with externaltax advisors and drive the remediation of potential exposures.

Review contracts and support the organization to successfullyimplement all accounting infrastructure required for newpartnerships.

What You'll NeedBachelor's degree in Accounting,Finance, or related field Demonstrated track record of leadingsuccessful teams Strong understanding of technical accountingmatters and ability to assess accounting treatment in complex areassuch us income tax, deferred revenue and expenses, fx accounting& hedging Solid knowledge of local tax rules and regulationsand up-to-date with the latest updates and policy discussions bySAT in Mexico Nice to haveIdeally started a career with a Big 4firm or has significant experience working with them.
