Organized by the International AIDS Society, the 13th IAS Conference on HIV Science (IAS 2025) is set to convene in Kigali, Rwanda, from July 13 to 17, 2025. Recognized as the world's most influential meeting on HIV research and its applications, this biennial conference showcases critical advances in basic, clinical, and operational HIV research.
IAS 2025 will provide a platform for researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and community leaders to exchange knowledge and foster collaborations. The conference will address current political and financial challenges affecting the global HIV response, with a particular focus on implications for Africa.
Rwanda's selection as the host country underscores its commitment to combating HIV/AIDS, having achieved the UNAIDS 95-95-95 targets seven years ahead of schedule. The event will highlight Rwanda's evidence-based approach to ending AIDS and serve as an opportunity to share its success story with the world.
To enhance accessibility, the IAS will offer scholarships covering travel, accommodation, daily allowances, and visa costs for eligible applicants. Additionally, the conference will provide significantly discounted registration rates for young people and individuals from lower-income countries, as well as free online access to major sessions two months post-conference.
